I obtained my Bachelor degree of Medicine and Surgery from Egypt in 1997 then moved to Australia in 1998. I finished my medical qualifications in Australia in 2002 and my fellowship of general practice in 2007.
I did my medical training at Hornsby Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital and Neringah Hospital. I have been working in general practice since 2006.
I worked as a GP in Wingham, Taree and Kariong before starting my practice in North Sydney in 2011. I had the pleasure of joining BFMP team in mid 2021.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice with special interest in women’s health, family planning, paediatrics, mental health, chronic disease prevention and management. I can also perform minor procedures including Implanon insertion/removal.
My aim is to establish a good rapport with my patients and to provide them with the best possible care in a comprehensive and holistic manner.
I do speak fluent English and Arabic.
Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church on Sundays as well as teaching at Sunday School. I also enjoy swimming and going for walks with my children.
I am a GP with over 20 years of experience in Australia. I completed my medical studies in Egypt and France before moving to Australia in 1997. I speak fluent English, French and Arabic.
In Australia, I did my training through Hornsby, Mona Vale and Royal North Shore Hospitals. I am currently a Fellow of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and an RACGP examiner.
I am interested in all aspects of general practice, with special interest in paediatrics; chronic disease management; men’s health; women’s health; skin checks; and minor surgical procedures like Implanon and skin excisions.
My goal is to always provide holistic care in a caring and professional manner. I also focus on time management. I am keen to almost always run on time to minimise patients’ waiting times, whilst providing the best health care possible and appropriate follow up.
I enjoy spending my weekends with my wife and two children. We go to church together on Sundays, play soccer, basketball and fishing, as well as catching up with relatives and friends.
I graduated from Newcastle University in 1988 and then spent three years at Royal North Shore Hospital and one year at Westmead Children’s Hospital. I have worked in General Practice since 1993, spending 10 years at Kariong before moving to Berowra in 2003.
I enjoy all aspects of GP work and have an interest in men’s health and women’s health; paediatrics; mental health; antenatal care; chronic health issues and minor procedures.
My goal is always to provide holistic care and think outside the box when approaching difficult and complicated issues.
In my spare time, I enjoy jogging, cooking, spending time with family, and supporting my sons on the side line of numerous basketball games.
I graduated in 1991 from Sydney University with honours and have been in general practice since 1996. I have been working in Berowra since 1999. I feel like I’m a part of this community that I have grown to love.
I enjoy all aspects of general practice and I’m always learning. I have great experiences in women’s health, antenatal care, mental health, chronic diseases and minor procedures including IUD and hormonal implants. My style of practice is holistic and comprehensive.
In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends, walking, playing soccer, as well as the usual chauffeuring duties for my sons.
I graduated from Sydney University in 1998 and gained my clinical experience working in Hornsby Hospital, Mona Vale Hospital and Westmead Children’s Hospital before pursuing general practice training working in Westmead, Bathurst an Cherrybrook. I received my Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2003. I have worked in Beecroft for 19 years.
Now in 2022 I am looking forward to returning to “beautiful old Berowra” where I grew up to serve its community. I enjoy all aspects of General Practice including men’s health, women’s health, family medicine, paediatrics and mental health. I like managing patients holistically to help them become their most healthy selves by preventing and treating chronic diseases and pursuing good mental health. I find it satisfying to assist patients achieve a healthier weight through utilising supportive counselling.
Having three children of my own now in high school I enjoy helping people navigate the complexities of parenthood.
In my spare time I like spending time with my family and our new puppy, reading, jogging and gardening.
I have worked in a variety of General Practice and Women’s Health settings, both in Australia and overseas, and have really enjoyed working in Berowra since moving to the area in early 2016.
I am interested in all areas of General Practice, but my special interests include women’s health, mental health (especially anxiety and mood disorders), paediatrics and preventative health, especially the interplay between nutrition and lifestyle on health.
I can competently perform minor procedures such as implanon insertion/removal, removal of some skin lesions and suturing.
Away from work I enjoy reading, traveling, surfing and art. I have two young boys so I spend a lot of time helping with craft projects and going on bike rides.
I’m interested in aged care and dementia, which doesn’t of course exclude me from seeing babies, children or anyone else! I love general practice and I’m also a Professor at the University of Newcastle where I try to persuade my students to become GPs.
I’m one of those rather slow, chatty doctors whenever possible – of course it is not always practical on a busy day!
On Sunday afternoons, I can be found working in my garden, with my grandchildren or reading a book (murder mysteries preferred!).
